The process begins long before the gold plating. The flower, leaf or coffee bean is selected one by one, in its organic state. It then goes through careful preparation and structuring work, preserving the texture, veins and exact color that nature created.
Only then does the piece receive its metallic "skin" in copper and is finished with a premium 18k Gold or Sterling Silver plating — through electroforming, a handcrafted process we detail here on our blog.
It's not a lack of technical capacity — it's a choice. Since every biojewel literally passes through Carla's hands, at a respectful slow fashion pace, there's a real limit to our monthly production. We'd rather honor that time than outsource processes or use industrial machinery that would erase the exclusivity of each piece.
