I'm Carla Visintini, the designer and artisan behind every biojewel. My work is born from a close attention to nature and the desire to turn what is delicate and fleeting into something that lasts — a jewel with history, meaning and presence.
The brand began in September 2021, with a simple, decisive moment: seeing a fallen orchid petal, I saw something more there than what would fade away with time — I saw a pendant, a memory, a way to eternize natural beauty. From that first idea came testing, research and refinement, until I developed a handcrafted process capable of preserving botanical elements with quality and durability.
Because a biojewel doesn't "imitate" nature — it carries nature itself. Every leaf, flower or seed has its own texture, veins, curves and marks. And that's exactly what makes each piece exclusive: in nature, sizes and shapes never repeat.
Everything is handmade, at a slow fashion pace, respecting the time each process needs. On average, a piece takes 10 to 15 days to complete.
I use two main methods:
1) Resin eternization
Perfect for preserving color, delicacy and transparency — widely used on petals and flowers (like orchids, daisies, and primrose). The secret lies in fully drying the natural element and carefully applying resin in layers, to keep a clean, beautiful finish.
2) Electroforming (electroplating)
Here nature gains a metallic "skin": through a technical bath, copper is deposited onto leaves and seeds, reproducing microscopic details of texture and relief. The piece then receives a fine finish, such as 18k gold plating (as well as silver options, depending on the collection).
My "inventory" isn't cut stones — it's a living library of natural shapes and symbols. Among the elements found across the collections are: orchids (our flagship element and the origin of the brand), coffee beans, leaves like the Portuguese Lace fern, plus compositions with natural fibers like buriti palm and inspirations tied to Brazilian biomes.
The brand is based in Maringá – PR, a city known for its abundant green spaces — a setting that speaks directly to the essence of what I create. Since the first tests in September 2021, the operation has grown organically, always with a lean structure, typical of a studio where care for every step is a priority.
Behind every piece is a complete process: selecting and preparing the natural element, production, finishing, curation, packaging and customer care. It's studio work — close, human and careful — so the experience is as special as the biojewel itself.
The store operates with an e-commerce structure that helps bring security to online shoppers, with consumer protection features, integrated logistics and payment methods widely used in Brazil — making everything easier, from the first click to delivery.
The brand is also part of initiatives that strengthen local entrepreneurship, such as participation in Espaço Florescer, in partnership with Sicredi Dexis / Instituto Dexis, connecting handmade creation, community and social impact.
